I'm a professional UX designer

I am Daniel, a recently qualified UX-Designer with some working experience. I live in Bergen, Norway. I have a professional degree in UX-Design and achieved the highest grades and good feedback. In UX-Design I have found my passion and believe in the Design Thinking Process. My largest project to date was in cooperation with TINE Handel, Norway's largest dairy producer, where I worked in a team and redesigned their e-commerce website. I am currently working voluntarily on redesigning an application that helps doctors manage the medication of patients with Parkinsons Disease. My working background is as a nursery projectworker and a police officer. In these professions I have been in regular contact with different people with very different needs and motivations. This has given me a good grounding for understanding people and I have also studied empathy as part of my Child -and Youth qualification.

How I work

I am used to, and enjoy work best as part of a team. I am confident and can work well on my own. I have leant how useful it is to discuss and share information with other UX-Designers who have slightly different perspectives while also having confidence in my own knowledge and ideas. My passion is user-centred design, to create solutions that are intuitive for the user and inclusive for the general public. I use good UX practices, principles and design systems to create consistent and clear designs.

A bit more about me

I'm married, I have three fantastic children and enjoy life with family and friends which can include work colleagues. I love music. I have a self-employed business as a mobile-DJ, working the occasional Friday or Saturday evening. Football is my favourite sport and Southampton, UK are my team. My 2024 New Years Resolution is to complete twelve mountain hikes, something I really enjoy but don't do often enough. In my downtime I also enjoy cooking and getting lost in a good tv-series.
